Who am I?
A question that seems to be getting more and more popular.
But yet has us left even more confused then before.
We live in a world flooded with information and unlimited resources, on top of that we also have a 24 hour 7 days a week, online access to people OPINIONS about everything and anything.
Including our selves.
Here is a challenge for you; block out all the noise, block out what people are saying about you or what you should be and take a look at what God says below;
Those who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s children. 15 For the Spirit that God has given you does not make you slaves and cause you to be afraid; instead, the Spirit makes you God’s children, and by the Spirit’s power we cry out to God, “Father! my Father!”
Romans 8:14-15 Good News Translation (GNT)
God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9
Who knows you better then the one who created you? He knows you better then you will ever know yourself.
Aint that the truth.
Identity isn’t something you will figure out in a day or two.
Identity is a relationship with God, the one who loved you before anyone else did. He is our one and ONLY source.
No matter what the new trending topic, book, podcast, celebrity ramble on social media or what your friends opinions are. No of it is truth and none of it reflects YOU.
Whatever you turn towards or place your confidence in, that is what you will reflect.
If its not God, ask yourself the below questions;
1) Who am i allowing to define me?
2) Where have i placed my trust and my value?
3) Am i allowing people to direct my actions and beliefs?
4) Where does my confidence come from?
